Last Friday's post over at Simple Green Frugal Co-op was about the printed phone books that are delivered whether we want them or not.
I don't know about you, but I haven't used a paper phone book in years. In fact, when they're delivered, they go straight into the recycling bin. Sad, really, when you think about all the resources used to make something that many people don't use and often just end up throwing away.
In his post, Gavin put up a link to a movement called YellowPagesGoesGreen.org. You can choose the Opt Out tab to fill in your information to be forwarded on to publishers who distribute the books in your area.
What do you think? Has the digital age replaced your need and/or desire for the paper phone directory? Will you consider opting out?
