A Girl and Her Pumpkin

 



She picked this pumpkin vine out at the nursery in Durango Fourth of July weekend to plant in Nonnie & Poppy's garden.

She lovingly checked on it each time we came up and was so excited to see all the green was finally gone! 

She tried cutting it off herself, but needed a little help from Pop's pocket knife.

Poppy weighed it after she 'helped' carry it in. 16 3/4 pounds.

She can't wait to carve it for Halloween.
