First Harvest

Or not.

I brought in five tiny (like the size of a nickel, tiny) radishes and proudly showed J. He looked at me with a mixture of confusion and humor and said, "Don't you think you should have left them to grow a bit longer?"

Yeah, I suppose I should have, but, dang-it, I wanted to pick something! I've had plants growing since the third week in February! It's hard to keep waiting . . .

In other news, we've had a quiet week here on the home front.

  • Lots of playing outside while the mornings are still cool-ish.
  • Lots of picking Bermuda grass out of the garden. UGH!
  • Lots of spraying little black sap sucker bugs off the willow tree and aphids off the roses.
  • Lots of Dominoes and Lincoln Logs.
What are you up to? Has summer hit you square in the face yet, or are you still enjoying spring?
