The One Thing

We planted this climbing rose four or five years ago.

I've never had a cluster of buds like this.

The one thing I did differently this spring: skip the synthetic fertilizer from the nursery and bury two banana peels at the base.

That's it.

There are three bloom clusters like this on the bush.

Who knew?
